ENT Theme Sent To Space

Shuttle astronauts recently were awakened by Russell Watson's theme

Some fans may not like the theme song to the latest Star Trek series, "Enterprise," but there seem to be a few at NASA that do.

During the recent mission of the shuttle Endeavour, NASA used the Russell Watson-performed song "Where My Heart Will Take Me" to awaken the crew, who were docked with the International Space Station, according to Yahoo.

"Russell is chuffed to bits," said Perry Hughes, Watson's manager. "He's always been a great follower of space exploration missions. He will be so honored to know that is voice has been used to wake up the Endeavour crew. We hope they enjoyed it."

NASA plays approved songs every morning to wake up the crew, usually using songs with some type of special meaning. There is a link to the new song outside of the fact that it is being used for Star Trek: The title montage for "Enterprise" features the construction of the International Space Station in Earth orbit.
