Fans have been begging "Warehouse 13" star Eddie McClintock to tell them when his show will return to Syfy. But now he can answer with certainty: July 23.

Syfy's highest-rated scripted program returns that Monday teamed up with sophomore drama "Alphas" to see if they both can once again capture some of that summertime geek magic. The only drawback to the premieres is that they come a week after "Eureka" says goodbye, airing its final episode July 16.

"As the town copes with the shocking personal changes caused by the Astraeus ordeal, they continue to uncover the truth about the forces behind the crew's bizarre disappearance ... with shocking results," Syfy said in a release about the "Eureka's" finale.

But once fans wipe away tears of farewell to "Eureka," they can then get ready for the one-two punch that is "Warehouse 13" and "Alphas," which begin at 9 p.m. ET the next week. Following the explosion that destroyed the warehouse, and the events that led to the deaths of Agent Steve Jinks (played by Aaron Ashmore), Mrs. Frederic (played by CCH Pounder) and H.G. Wells (Jaime Murray).

Syfy, however, isn't giving away too much in what to expect in an expanded Season 4.

"Their only hope lies in racing to the other side of the Earth to hunt down an obscure artifact, which may or may not even exist," the network said. "And if it does exist, what consequences will they face for using it?"

"Alphas" premieres immediately after that with Season 2 picking up right were Season 1 left off, especially with David Strathairn's Dr. Lee Rosen reeling from the consequences of exposing the existence of the Alphas to the public. In fact, he'll find himself discredited and even imprisoned by a government who is desperate to cover up his revelation.

The team itself has disbanded, and without having that guiding hand from Rosen, revert to their old self-destructive ways.

"Eureka" stars Colin Ferguson, Salli Richardson-Whitfield, Joe Morton, Erica Cerra, Neil Grayston and Niall Matter. "Warehouse 13" stars McClintock, Joanne Kelly, Saul Rubinek and Allison Scagliotti. Sam Huntington from Syfy's "Being Human" will be among the special guests that will appear on "Warehouse 13" this season.

"Alphas," under new showrunner Bruce Miller, stars Strathairn, Malik Yoba, Warren Christie, Azita Ghanizada, Ryan Cartwright, Laura Mennell and Erin Way.
