'Angel' Moves To Sundays

The WB revamps schedule, moving nearly every night around

"Angel" apparently wasn't doing well enough for The WB, which has prompted the network to move it to a new day beginning next season.

The move was announced during the network's Tuesday upfronts, where fall programming is revealed to begin the wheels spinning on advanced advertising sales.

The David Boreanaz-starring spinoff from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" will now air Sundays at 9 p.m. ET, right after "Gilmore Girls: Beginnings" and "Charmed." It's old timeslot on Mondays will be filled by the drama "Everwood."

The only night of programming that The WB didn't touch was Tuesday night's lineup of "Gilmore Girls" and "Smallville." Shows that were canceled included "Glory Days" and "Felicity."

Producers of "Angel" earlier commented that they didn't have to fear being canceled by The WB, as ratings were within what the network was looking for. Even if the show was canceled, UPN has a contract that obligates them to pick up the series for its network.
