Enterprise's Staff Changes
Andre Bormanis promoted to story editor as Stephen Beck leaves
Although changes in staffing during a first season is not unusual for a series, "Enterprise's" turn over rate for writers and producers shows no sign of slowing down.
Following executive story editor Stephen Beck's departure, Andre Bormanis has been promoted to story editor. On the writing staff since the series began, Bormanis is credited with writing "Silent Enemy" and the upcoming episode "Desert Crossing" based off a story developed with executive producers Rick Berman and Brannon Braga. Story editor is not the most glamorous position but it is a step on any writer's way to becoming a producer.
Beck's reason for leaving the staff is unknown at the moment. Working with former co-producer Tim Finch, he penned "Cold Front," the Temporal Cold War episode which aired earlier this season. He also work on "Oasis," contributing to the story idea along with Rick Berman and Brannon Braga, and then writing the teleplay.
Other former staff member which have left the series include producer Antoinette Stella who wrote the teleplay for "Terra Nova" before leaving, and co-producer Tim Finch who only penned "Cold Front."
At the start of season two, former supervising producer Chris Black will be promoted to co-executive producer, and will be joined by former "X-Files" writer John Shiban.
Currently "Enterprise's" writing staff includes: Berman and Braga, Black, consulting producer Fred Dekker, executive story editors Phyllis Strong and Mike Sussman, story editors Maria and Andre Jacquemetton, and Bormanis.
