The Truth Of River Song Still Yet To Be Revealed
'Doctor Who' character twist is only the top of the iceberg

Showrunner Steven Moffatt delivered one heck of a character twist at the mid-season break of "Doctor Who."
Not only did The Doctor (Matt Smith) fail in his mission to save lil' Melody Pond, there was an earth-shattering reveal over the identity of River Song (Alex Kingston).
But, that is only the beginning.
When the series returns for the second half, The Doctor will also face his biggest adversary yet ... Adolf Hitler. And in the final six episodes, fans will be treated to numerous twists, turns that will have a variety of consequences for The Doctor and Amy (Karen Gillan).
Among the galaxy-imploding consequences is a realization between the core-four that both Amy and her daughter have kissed The Doctor.
“It’s going to take some twists and turns," Gillan told TV Line. "All of the relationships and the whole dynamic is going to change.”
However, the domestic situation won't be the only development within the Tardis as viewers will quickly recognize that there is more to River Song than her identity.
“You think you know the truth about River,” Moffat said. “You don’t know it yet. There’s loads more to come.”
"Doctor Who" returns to BBC One in the fall and BBC America on Aug. 27.
