Tricia Helfer, Lucy Lawless Join 'No Ordinary Family'
ABC series will reveal new villains and answer key questions
"No Ordinary Family" has been labelled as a live action version of Disney's "The Incredibles," revolving around the life of a struggling family that become united through their super-human abilities.
For the most part the stories have been family focused with some sinister plans afoot at Global Tech ... and in upcoming episodes those plans will reach a conclusion.
"We really start to reveal what Global Tech [is], what is the motive behind them, what is Dr. King's motive [and] what's really going on," actress Julie Benz said, according to Digital Spy. "How did the Powells get their powers? Why do they have staying power? All of those questions that people want to know are finally, slowly, going to be answered."
Already viewers have seen the powers of the whole family go up against Global Tech in and around the home, but pretty soon there will be more villains making their presence known by shaking up the series. Executive producer Jon Feldman has confirmed that two new baddies will be joining the series, hopefully bringing with them their strong fan following.
Tricia Helfer, who is best known as Number Six in Ronald D. Moore's "Battlestar Galactica" has signed on for a guest role on the show, as has her fellow Cylon Lucy Lawless.
"We're certainly excited to not only have two actresses of their calibre, but also two actresses with significant followings," Feldman told TV Guide. "[Our plan is] to really amp up the degree of mythology and the cool factor in terms of the villains. Hopefully it's stuff that fans of the genre will really get into."
"No Ordinary Family" airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC
