'Angel' To Stay On The WB?
It's co-creator certainly thinks so, but says there is life on any network
Whether it gets picked up for another season by The WB or not, David Greenwalt knows there is still a lot of life left in "Angel."
The co-creator of the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" spinoff, recently talked to Sci-Fi Wire about the future of the show that stars David Boreanaz as a vampire gone good, and gave his opinion on whether or not The WB -- which lost "Buffy" last year after a very public battle with UPN -- will renew te show for a fourth season.
"They will," Greenwalt said simply. "But UPN would also be a happy home for me in year five or year six. Even post-'Buffy,' UPN could be a happy home for me.
"But we're going to be on The WB. It's going to be a late pickup, and we're going to be on The WB. You heard it here. Year four. I'm only speaking for year four. I'm not speaking beyond that."
If The WB does happen to cancel the series, UPN is obligated to add the show to its lineup as part of its deal in acquiring "Buffy" from The WB.
New episode of "Angel" will begin again April 15 leading to the end of its third season.
