Singer Cameo Confirmed
'X-Men' director making his way to 'Star Trek: Nemesis'
Bryan Singer will be in "Star Trek: Nemesis," at least says the star of his upcoming movie, "X2."
Patrick Stewart (Capt. Jean-Luc Picard) confirmed with Sci-Fi Wire that Singer, who directed "X-Men" and the upcoming "X2" -- both starring Stewart -- was invited onto the set of "Nemesis" where executive producer Rick Berman gave him a speaking role.
"It was intriguing for me, because I had seen (Singer) as the helmer of a multimillion-dollar movie on vast soundstages with huge sets and a big, classy cast," Stewart said. "When I told Rick that I'd invited him to the set, it was his idea that maybe he'd like to put in a guest appearance. They gave him a line. he does actually have dialogue. He's a bridge officer during a particularly dramatic sequence on the bridge. He has action, and he has a piece of dialogue."
A source for Airlock Alpha said that Singer will play a helmsman who is sucked through a hull breach on the bridge during its battle with the Scimitar, Shinzon's (Tom Hardy) ship.
Sci-Fi Wire also further perpetuates reports that "Nemesis" will open in December rather than November, which would mean head-to-head competition with "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers."
