Buffy Season Finale Spoiled

SPOILERS: Expect death, destruction and more shifting to the dark side

It wasn't too long ago that Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar) had a chance to experience death for herself. Now her and Willow (Alyson Hannigan) have the opportunity to experience it with someone else.

Please note that the following report contains major spoilers of the final episodes of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." If you do not wish to be spoiled, click here now. None of this information has been confirmed by Fox Television or UPN, so treat it as you would any other rumor.

According to a source from Dark Horizons and Buffy's Domain of Delight, Tara (Amber Benson) will die at the hands of Warren Meers (Adam Busch). At the same time, Willow tries to kill Warren using dark magic, but resists the urge. However, Rack decides to kill Warren for her and Willow falls completely to the dark side.

Willow becomes a spellcasting conduit for Rack and is kept in a "hallucinatory state of bliss" where she lives an "ideal life" with Tara.

Buffy herself goes on a slayer quest with the spirit image of Tara, and learns that Giles (Anthony Stewart Head) did most of the dirty work for her in the death of Glory (Clare Kramer). A spell is cast to purge Willow of her spellcasting abilities, and this puts Hannigan's character into a catatonic state.

Buffy ends up killing her first human being, Rack, which causes her to start moving toward the darkness herself.

Willow eventually is put in the hospital toward the end and Dawn (Michelle Trachtenberg) is placed into foster care by the police.

The final scene of the season has Buffy sitting in her house in the dark.
