Major Deaths On 'X-Files?'
SPOILERS: If true, expect a major outcry from X-philes around the world
The following report contains major spoiler material. If you're not interested in learning about a major death on "The X-Files," hit the back button on your browser now.
According to a report from Ain't It Cool News, the three characters of John Fitzgerald Byers, Ringo Langley and Melvin Frohike ... known affectionately as "The Lone Gunmen" ... apparently will meet their doom before "The X-Files" calls it quits after nine years.
The Gunmen, played by Bruce Harwood, Dean Haglund and Tom Braidwood respectively, were always a group of conspiratists that Special Agent Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) relied upon during different X-file cases. The three characters were spun off into their own series last year by Fox, which failed to attract the kind of viewers that were initially drawn into "The X-Files."
According to the AICN source, "all three of The Lone Gunmen filmed their death scene Friday night for an upcoming 'X-Files' episode."
"Don't know the episode title. Don't know when it airs. But it's in the can. They're also getting a full Arlington-like funeral with all the trimmings, which they're shooting (Tuesday)," the source said.
Please note that none of this information has been confirmed by Ten-Thirteen Productions or Fox Television, so it should be treated as any other rumor would.
