UPN Could Pick Up Wolf Lake
Unaired episodes from cancelled series could lead out 'Enterprise'
CBS and UPN head Leslie Moonves said he has a plan for strengthening UPN. So far, it seems it's by giving the smaller network its larger brother's hand-me-downs.
Electronic Media Online is reporting that UPN is on the verge of picking up four unaired episodes of the failed CBS series "Wolf Lake," which was cancelled CBS. It will reportedly air in the Wednesday 9 p.m. ET timeslot right after "Enterprise."
If all goes well, the network may actually air all nine episodes of the series, which CBS pulled the plug on in November.
"Wolf Lake," if it happens, would be the second time there's been some cross-programming on UPN and CBS since Moonves took control of both late last year. UPN currently is airing encore editions of "The Amazing Race 2" Friday nights on UPN, two days after their first showing on CBS.
"Wolf Lake," for those who missed it (which is probably all our readers), centered around a group of human wolves living in a small town. It only averaged 6.5 million viewers, which would spell success for a UPN show, but failure for a CBS show.
