'Firefly' Gains Two New Cast
Cast join FOX's 'Firefly' created by Joss Whedon
Adam Baldwin and Jewel Staite have joined the cast of FOX's "Firefly," created by executive producer Joss Whedon. Nathan Fillion was earlier announced as the new show's lead last Monday (Feb 11).
Adam Baldwin will play the spaceship crew member Jayne, described as a tough and independent adventurer who won't back away from a good fight. Jewel Staite will be playing the ship's mechanic.
Baldwin recently played a recurring role on "The X-Files" and has played regular roles on the television series "The Cape," plus appeared in the miniseries "From the Earth to the Moon." His film credits include "My Bodyguard," "Full Metal Jacket," "Independence Day," and "The Patriot."
Staite, a Canadian actress will be appearing in the upcoming film "Cheaters," while her television credits include Canadian series "Da Vinci's Inquest" and "Flash Forward."
