Kevin Sorbo Tries to Promote

Sorbo grabs more publicity.

Kevin Sorbo has been busy promoting Andromeda in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles. The actor and producer thinks his show deserves more viewing power. "I think the show should be a much higher-rated show," says Sorbo.

The actor thinks the show is quite good now that the show has become action packed. "It's pretty amazing, but I will still battle with the powers that be. Yes, it's the No. 1 show in syndication, but I look at it and think it's a really good show. The trouble with syndication is that you're not on Tuesdays at 8 o'clock across the country," continues the actor.

"We're on at different times in different cities, pretty much Saturdays and Sundays. You don't get that [tune-in] unless people are looking in their TV Guide. People get lost looking for the show. So I'm trying to do what I can to get the studio to promote it better. That's why I'm doing a lot of promotional stuff right now in New York, Chicago and out in L.A."

Sorbo is looking ahead for next season, when writer Robert Engels replaces the dismissed Robert Hewitt Wolfe. "We're going to get away from the Commonwealth," Sorbo said. "We've kind of said, 'The hell with it.' Dylan's got to come to the point where he realizes that he can't save the universe on his own by restoring it to where it was, with a million member worlds."

Because of this new look in the series, Sorbo hopes the show will reach new heights. Taking away the continuing plot of restoring the Commonwealth Robert Wolfe helped develop is what Sorbo thinks will lead "right back to the Gene Roddenberry concept [of the series]."
