Artistic License: 'The Guild' Season 4 Begins

Season 4 has started, with everything that makes the web series special

Gamers everywhere can rejoice, as The Guild is back! Season 4 of the award-winning Internet series returned last week, with Episode 1.

The show picks up right after the events of last season, with Codex (Felicia Day) coming to grips with what happened between her and Fawkes (Wil Wheaton) on their date. It is a great episode, with the wonderful humor and character interaction that we have come to expect from The Guild.

All of the members of The Knights of Good are back, and from events in the first episode, it looks as if the characters will be competing not only with each other, but also perhaps members of The Axis of Anarchy once again. There is also a Season 4 trailer available that reveals that Wheaton will be coming back this season. Both the first episode and the trailer are available for viewing on Bing as well as for download from the Zune Marketplace and for streaming from Xbox Live. Future episodes will be posted on Tuesdays.

If you are a fan of The Guild and happen to be attending San Diego Comic-Con, all of the regular cast members will be there, and there will be a panel, as well as signing opportunities. More details about this, as well as other show-related information, can be found on their website. Jeff Lewis (Vork) and Sandeep Parikh will also appear at Dragon*Con in Atlanta in September.

For those who enjoyed the three-issue The Guild comic series earlier this year, it has been announced that Dark Horse Comics will publish more issues in 2011. These will involve solo stories for each of the guild members. A writer himself, Lewis will co-write the issue about Vork with Day.

This is a great way to start the new season, with a quality episode and a taste of things to come. Long live The Knights of Good!
