'Lost' Props, Sets Go Up For Auction
International auction offers fans a chance to own a piece of Dharma history
"Lost" may have reached its emotionally charged conclusion, but now there is a new way for fans to remember the castaway drama ... by owning a part of it.
ABC Studios has united with Hollywood auctioneer Profiles in History to provide fans with a unique opportunity to own a piece of the "Lost" saga.
More than 1,000 props, costumes and set pieces will go up for auction in August, including the Apollo candy bar, Ana Lucia's Los Angeles Police Department card, Charlie's DriveShaft ring, Locke's wheelchair and a selection of Dharma food.
The auction is slated to commence on Aug. 21 at Barker Hangar at Santa Monica Airport and will run for two days. The auction will allow international bidding and will accept offers in person, via mail, telephone fax or online.
So, if you fancy owning a piece of "Lost" history, be sure to visit Profiles in History or Live Auctioneers for a full auction catalog.
Profiles in History was founded in 1985 and deals mostly in original historical autographs, letters, documents, vintage signed photographs and manuscripts among other items, according to the company's website.
In 1996, the auctioneers moved heavily into Hollywood memorabilia, and have auctioned off pieces from a number of television shows and movies, including both the Star Trek and Star Wars franchises. Profiles in History's quarterly auctions include costumes, props, set pieces, costume designs and production art among other things, according to its website.
