After stating earlier this week that "Roswell" has been cancelled by UPN, Crashdown.com said that it was contacted by the Fox Television publicity office and told that the final fate of the show will not be decided until May. So in light of that, "Roswell" has not been officially cancelled by UPN.

"The information in the previous news item came from multiple and separate sources connected to the show, who separately told the site the same information," a statement at Crashdown stated. "The fact that Fox made the effort to ask for a correction is probably a sign that campaigning for the show's survival will not be a wasted effort."

The site had previously reported that the cast and crew were informed Jan. 28 that the show had been cancelled, and that production of this season had been cut from 20 to 18.
