'X-Files' losing to ENT
Ratings battle shows the paranormal series popularity dropping even more
It seems odd reporting this, but a Star Trek series is actually doing better or as good as "The X-Files."
In what will be its final season, "The X-Files" is still scraping by each week, scoring a 5.6 rating/8 share in Fast Affiliate Ratings, allowing the show to only finish about a pair of comedies on The WB in its 9 p.m. ET timeslot.
"The X-Files" was beat by "Stephen King's Rose Red" on ABC (11.7/17), "My Sister's Keeper" movie on CBS (10.2/15), and NBC's "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," which scored an 8.2/13.
Thanks to the NFL playoffs, however, Fox ended up in the top spot for the evening, finishing with a 10.9/17. CBS was in second with a 9.5/15, followed by ABC (8.7/13), NBC (6.6/10) and The WB (2.6/4).
