Fox Catches Up 'Fringe' Viewers For New Episodes
New Web site is launched to clue-up fans and attract new viewers
Television mid-season hiatuses are a thing of wonder and mystery. The typical viewer usually never knows when they're coming, and most all viewers can agree that these breaks seriously ruin the groove and momentum of a series.
And recently, major networks have developed the habit of being inconsistent when it comes to these breaks.
If you're like Glee, youre set when it comes to promotion -- no ones going to forget about the shows existence. But if youre a show like Lie to Me, youre stuck waiting until summer to return -- and theres not even the comfort of mass promotion to keep you company.
In the middle is Fringe, which has always been more of a viral, promotion-driven vehicle.
However, there is some hope. Fox has launched a new Web site for the series designed to clue in casual viewers and those who havent quite made it through the entire series. Or, in some cases, it is hoped the site may draw in viewers that are completely new to the series.
The Fringe 101 Web site even includes what Fox believes to be the four most important episodes of "Fringe" as a teaser to encourage people to watch the show. These episodes include "Theres More Than One of Anything," A New Day in the Old Town, Grey Matters and Jacksonville."
The site also includes featurettes specifically focusing on what you need to know about the show, including information about the mysterious Observers.
The new Web site can be found by clicking here.
Fringe returns April 1 at 9 p.m. ET on Fox.
