James Cameron Hints At Possibility Of 'Avatar 2'
Will the filmmaker adopt the current Hollywood philosophy of 'if it ain't broke, break it?'

If there's one thing the film industry knows how to do, it's how to ruin a good thing. Whether it's unnecessary remakes (or "reboots," as they've become so fond of calling them now) or sequels (which should now only be called "squeakquels," of course), no cinematic memory is safe.
So what if that good thing they want to ruin is also the highest grossing film of all time?
In a recent interview with MTV, James Cameron revealed that he's "thinking about what [his] next feature will be." He added that another "Avatar" film could be a "strong possibility."
Now considering that it took Cameron more than 12 years just to properly conceptualize "Avatar" to his satisfaction in the first place, would it be safe to assume that anything less on a sequel would probably fail in terms of actual quality?
Most of what makes 'Avatar' so great in the first place, according to many fans, is its display of how technology has evolved into what it is to have made the film in the first place. Many believe it would be hard to accept that film technology would change drastically enough in the next couple of years to make an "Avatar" sequel more dynamic than its predecessor.
No decision has been made quite yet. "Avatar" has made more than $666.3 million at the domestic box office, making it the highest-grossing film of all time. It surpassed "Titanic," Cameron's previous film, in both domestic and international box office, and continue to finish in the top 3 at the box office weeks after its release.
it stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver and Stephen Lang.
