Fans will have to wait another week to see the return of "Smallville" on The CW, but it will be worth the wait.

The CW is promoting a quick trailer for the series it placed on YouTube last week which gives us some exciting scenes involving Tom Welling as the Man of Steel himself, as well as Callum Blue as Zod (and just so you know, "Zod" is not an acceptable word for the iPhone app Words With Friends, which sucks).

Anyway, get your first look at what's to come in the back half of the ninth season of "Smallville," and be sure to tune into the episode Jan. 29 beginning at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
