His departure brought tears to the eyes of many fans, but David Tennant's on-screen good-bye was nothing like what he had to go through as an actor away from the cameras.

But there were cameras there, capturing every minute, as Tennant embarked on his final adventures with the sonic screwdriver and his trusty Tardis. That footage, which has never before been seen, has been included as part of the DVD release of the "Doctor Who" specials that will be released Feb. 2. It has all the 2009 specials, including "Planet of the Dead," "Waters of Mars," and both parts of "The End of Time."

It also has a number of special features, including a new "Doctor Who Confidential" for "The Next Doctor," the 2008 Christmas special, which is not available anywhere else.

BBC has been kind enough to provide a sneak peek at what fans can find on the DVD. Check it out right here, and then pre-order your "Doctor Who" episodes so that you can watch them whenever you want.
