But so far, only 'Heroes' seems to be under any cancellation threat

"Heroes" has found yet another series low as November sweeps wraps up, earning a 3.1 rating/5 share Monday, according to Fast National ratings from The Nielsen Co.

That was a 3 percent drop from the previous week, but still a drop from what was a series low 3.2/5 to set a new bottom mark. "Heroes" beat only a rerun of "One Tree Hill" from The CW, getting clobbered by "Dancing With the Stars" on ABC (12.6/19), "House" on Fox (7.0/11), and comedies on CBS.

The new mark for "Heroes" now represents a 20.5 percent drop from its low season premiere Sept. 21, and is more than 11 percent off its average following 11 episodes so far. "Heroes" is 25 percent off its average from last season, and 47 percent off its average from two years ago.

It also finished behind "Trauma," which built on "Heroes" audience by nearly 10 percent. "Trauma," however, has already been cancelled by the network, although NBC did recently order three additional episodes.

"V" is falling to lows as well, although that series is only four episodes old. The ABC event series earned a 5.6/9 on Tuesday, according to Zap2it. Once again, it lost to "NCIS" on CBS, which more than doubled its audience, and barely slipped by NBC's strongest program, "The Biggest Loser." It lost nearly 7 percent of its previous audience, and is now 34 percent off its premiere.

This week's ratings pulled down "V's" overall average by more than 4 percent, and is now 16 percent off its average.

However, at the same time, "V" is still the highest-rated genre network program, staying ahead of "FlashForward," another struggling ABC freshman drama.

The audience loss of "V' has had some speculating that the show is in trouble. However, sources are telling Airlock Alpha that "V" actually is being prepped for a second season. Whether that means a second season will actually happen is not set in stone, but the network is looking at making some further adjustments to the series and is reportedly in the process of bringing in some more help.

"V" finishes its four-week run in 2009 with a solid 6.7/10, the best average of any genre show so far this season. "FlashForward" isn't too far behind with a 6.0/10, followed by "Fringe" on Fox with a 3.7/6, "Heroes" with a 3.5/5, "Vampire Diaries" on The CW with a 2.5/4, "Supernatural" with a 1.7/3, and "Smallville" with a 1.6/3.

Fast Nationals usually provide a snapshot of what Americans are watching by pulling numbers from the top urban markets that includes both live viewing and same-day timeshifted viewing. A rating point generally represents more than 1.1 million households while the share indicates the percentage of televisions turned on that was tuned to the specific program. These numbers typically shift when final ratings are issued.
