What exactly does David S. Goyer and Brannon Braga have up their sleeves?

ABC doesn't want you to have to wait forever, so they are giving you a first extended look at the new series "Flash Forward," which premieres Sept. 24.

The show features a group of people who black out for a short period of time, and during the blackout, get glimpses of their future. It's a series based on the Robert Sawyer novel and stars Joseph Fiennes, John Cho, Jack Davenport, Zachary Knighton, Peyton List and Dominic Monaghan.

The series was originally intended for HBO, but decided to let it go and have networks go after it. That resulted in a bidding war between ABC and Fox with the Disney network ending up on top.

So here it is, your first look at "Flash Forward."
