A lot of people like to try and compare "Fringe" to another one-time popular genre show on Fox: "The X-Files."

But don't say that to Joshua Jackson, who plays Peter Bishop in the series that returns for its second season Thursday night. In fact, he does feel there's some comparisons that could be made with this show and other television programs, but it's more along the lines of "Father Knows Best."

Here, however, it's Jackson that knows best as he shares some of what's to come in Season 2.
