With its premiere just a month away, Syfy is giving "Stargate: Universe" the full marketing treatment, creating a trailer meant not just for television and the Internet, but theaters as well.

While it's uncommon to create trailers for television shows for movie theaters, it is a common practice in other countries like the United Kingdom, which has a habit of showing "Doctor Who" and "Torchwood" trailers ahead of movies there.

Some more of the "Universe" backstory is shown for those unable to attend the Stargate panel at San Diego Comic-Con in July, including the ultimate fangasm experienced by actor David Blue's character -- being a science-fiction fan, and suddenly finding out that some of what you enjoy in fiction is actually real.
