More Sex In 'Dollhouse' Season 2

Expect sex, darkness and murder in upcoming season

This story may contain spoilers for "Dollhouse."

The "Dollhouse" episode "Epitaph One" offered hints on what to expect for the future, and there may be more coming in the second season.

The episode, which was included only on the DVD release of the first season, includes a scene showing a cooperative Echo, played by Eliza Dushku, working with Ballard (Tahmoh Penikett) to bring the Dollhouse down.

"Echo doesn't know entirely what's going on yet :[but] as she becomes more and more self-aware, she's recognizing this constant, tall, dark, looming man in the Dollhouse," Dushku told E! Online.

Will there be a sexual relationship between the two? Flashes in "Epitaph One" certainly indicated that might be the case. But Penikett insists that their relationship is something quite different ... for now.

"They have a connection. It's not a physical attraction, but I hope it's something that we explore a lot more this season," he said. "You're not quite sure what it is. There's a past, there's a history, there's an understanding between them that's very different. I think the audience is really going to like it and be really curious about where we're going in the first few episodes."

However, despite what the audience saw of the future in the "lost" episode, the main relationship that will be explored is one that has had a more noticeable presence on the show ... the love of Victor (Enver Gjokaj) and Sierra (Dichen Lachman).

Throughout the first season, both characters have had an childlike romance as unassuming Dolls without any of the complexities people generally have. And, even with a portion of their true personalities restored, the couple still wound up in each other's arms in a very innocent embrace.

Season 2 will take that to the next level.

"Sierra and Victor are definitely still involved," Gjokaj said. "They're going to explore that relationship more. They explore the Sierra-and-Victor love as dolls, but then also they're going to go into the backstory of both of them."

"Dollhouse" returns to Fox Sept. 24.
