10 Years Of Portal Awards Winners

See everyone who's taken home the gold from 1999 to 2009!

Another year has passed, and another set of winners in genre television and movies have been honored.

The Portal Awards, originally known as the Genre Awards, have been handed out almost every year since 1999. Tens of thousands of votes were cast this year to pick winners, and see what company they have in their respective categories.

In all, over the last 10 years, 20 television shows have been honored in currently active categories, 21 movies, 27 actors and 28 actress have also been recognized. Of those, "Star Trek: Voyager" remains the most celebrated with 16 wins followed by "Farscape" with seven; "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "Stargate: SG-1" and "Angel" with six; and "Firefly" and "Supernatural" with five each.

Only three actors have won as many as three Portal Awards and they are Ben Browder, James Marsters and Daniel Radcliffe. However, five actress have achieved that level of celebration, including Claudia Black, Kate Mulgrew, Emma Watson, Amy Acker and Jeri Ryan.

"Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" remains the most celebrated movie of Portal Awards history with four wins, followed by three from "300," "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers," "X-Men" and "The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King."

Just to note that the awards were not held in 2002, since it would've been planned beginning just after the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, and "Firefly" was eligible in 2006 because previously unaired episodes were broadcast on television for the first time.
