It's hard to find someone more excited about "Battlestar Galactica" than Edward James Olmos.

The star of the former SciFi Channel series has just wrapped production on "Battlestar Galactica: The Plan," a new telemovie delving into the backstory of the series appearing in October on Syfy.

Olmos directed the telemovie, and worked frame by frame to make sure that everything that happened lines up perfectly with the "Battlestar Galactica" mythos.

The actor and director sat down with a small group of reporters Friday at San Diego Comic-Con, and Airlock Alpha has the exclusive video right here. Also hear me ask Olmos whether or not he'll direct an episode of the "Battlestar Galactica" spinoff "Caprica."
