David Gerrold, the popular "Star Trek" writer credited with creating the Tribble, is offering Trekkers a chance to "multiply" their fun at San Diego Comic-Con this year, even if they can't make it out to California.

Gerrold is looking for some of the best Tribbles, and will be looking for them both at Comic-Con, and in galleries that fans can upload to CBS-BDLive.com.

All of this is just in time for CBS Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Entertainment to debut the Blu-ray version of "Star Trek: The Original Series" Season 2.

Also coming to the gallery link above will be an exclusive interview CBS is posting with Gerrold that talks about some of his behind-the-scenes insights as well as other bonus features from the Star Trek universe.

Check out Gerrold's message to fans.
