"Doctor Who" and "Torchwood" will be visiting San Diego Comic-Con in full force this year as BBC brings some of its top guns including actor David Tennant and showrunner Russell T. Davies.
Tennant and Davies will join executive producer Julie Gardner and director Euros Lyn for a special "Doctor Who" panel July 26 at 10 a.m. PT. On top of that, fans attending Comic-Con can visit the BBC booth in the dealers room and have their picture taken with a piece of the "Doctor Who" set.
"Torchwood" fans won't be left out. Davies and Gardner will stick around for a second panel beginning at 2:15 p.m. PT on Sunday that will include series star John Barrowman.
"Torchwood" will already have been back in both the United States and the United Kingdom by then, but there likely will be tons of questions on the fourth season of "Torchwood" which could be answered.

Actors for hire: Hollywood is a tough business, and Stargate franchise producer Joseph Mallozzi knows that. So using his popular blog, Mallozzi decided to give some of the strong guest actors in his three series over the years a little boost (and maybe some new jobs).
So who is he recommending?
First up is Michael Welch who played Young Jack in the "Stargate SG-1" episode "Fragile Balance." Right behind him is Neil Jackson who appeared in the "SG-1" episode "Prototype" and the "Stargate: Atlantis" episode "Vegas."
Jodelle Ferland also was recommended for her work as Young Adria/Harmony in the "SG-1" episode "Flesh and Blood" as well as "Harmony" from "Atlantis. Brendan Beiser was recognized for playing Tavius and Weaver in "The Tower" for "Atlantis" and "Memento Mori" for "SG-1." Reed Diamond also is getting some attention for playing Bryce Ferguson in the "SG-1" episode "Stronghold."
Also on the list are Ryan Robbins who played Ladon Radim in "Atlantis," Kari Wuhrer who played Nancy in the "Atlantis" episode "Outcast," Malcolm Scott who played Caius in "The Ties That Bind" from "SG-1," Mike Dopud who was the Bounty Hunter and Kiryk in the "SG-1" episode "Bounty" and the "Atlantis" episode "Tracker" and Reiko Aylesworth who plays Sharon in the "Stargate: Universe" episode "Life."
"All are gifted actors who would make a terrific addition to any cast," Mallozzi said. "But be warned! Snap 'em up now because I have a feeling they'll only be available for so long." -- [Stargate SG-1 Solutions]
Stewie comes to 'Flash Forward': You think this guy would be busy enough between two popular animated series for Fox, but he's making some time for the new ABC series "Flash Forward."
Seth MacFarlane, who created (and voices) many of the characters in "Family Guy" and "American Dad," is going to have a recurring role in the new series from "The Dark Knight's" David S. Goyer and former Star Trek producer and writer Brannon Braga.
Apparently MacFarlane loved the script he saw for "Flash Forward" and share that with Goyer, who in turn offered him the role of an FBI agent in the series.
Not sure if that will mean cutaway gags will start to show up in the fall series. -- [TV Squad]
Simon the Cylon becomes a Hero: Rick Worthy, who was already a popular character actor in genre series such as "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine," "Stargate SG-1" and even "Star Trek: Enterprise," is heading to "Heroes."
Worthy, who was last seen in a bloody mess at the hands of Adm. Adama in the series finale of "Battlestar Galactica" (he played Simon, one of the Cylon skinjobs), will take on the role of a Los Angeles cop in the NBC series that will work closely with Greg Grunberg's Matt Parkman.
He's not the only actor popping up on "Heroes" this season. Also coming on board "Heroes" this season is Robert Knepper and Madelina Zima. -- [The Hollywood Reporter]
Mohinder gets 'Psych'(ed): Speaking of "Heroes" and casting, "Heroes" star Sendhil Ramamurthy is heading over to the USA series "Psych" as Raj, a man who believes that the first born in each generation of his family is cursed.
He'll appear in the episode "Bollyhood Homicide" alongside his cousin, "Psych" director Jay Chandrasekhar. He will play, believe it or not, a character named Jay, who is Raj's cousin, and is directing a local theater's Bollywood project.
Sounds like it will be an interesting outing for the series. -- [E! Online]
'Supernatural,' 'Smallville' get ready to roll: Premiere dates have been set for the three shows that make up the genre schedule for The CW.
"Supernatural" will return Sept. 10 at 9 p.m. ET, its usual Thursday timeslot, but with a new companion. "Smallville" moves to Fridays, and will premiere a few weeks later, Sept. 25, at 8 p.m. ET.
Taking its place is "The Vampire Diaries," which will premiere the same night as "Supernatural," but just beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
Friday has been known as a death slot for TV shows, but it seems it will be a busy night for both The CW and Fox as "Dollhouse" from Joss Whedon will be hanging around there as well. -- [The CW]
More and more premieres: Oh yeah, we're all full of premiere dates this week.
The aforementioned "Dollhouse" is slated to make its second season premiere Sept. 18. No longer having "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" as a lead-in, "Dollhouse" instead is going to get ... comedies. Both "Brothers" and "Til Death" will also premiere that night, beginning at 8 p.m.
"Fringe," as previously reported, is moving to Thursdays for its second season. It will premiere Sept. 17 following "Bones." -- [TV Week]
Remembering a captain: Some sad news to share.
Edward "Ward" Costello, who played Adm. Gregory Quinn in two episodes of "Star Trek: The Next Generation," died June 4 after suffering some complications of a stroke. He was 89.
Quinn appeared on TNG in 1988 in the episodes "Conspiracy" and "Coming of Age." He also appeared in the cult genre film "Terror from the Year 5000."
He is survived by his wife and four children. -- [Variety]
