William Shatner made his first appearance on the new "Tonight Show" with Conan O'Brien as host Wednesday night, and shared some secrets that probably won't surprise too many Trek fans.

The biggest revelation was that Shatner can't do the Vulcan salute. In sharing a story about how he wore his Capt. Kirk outfit while driving to the studio, Shatner said a cop pulled him over for going 100 mph, and after a sarcastic remark by Shatner, the cop simply gave him the Vulcan salute -- something Shatner obviously couldn't return.

Things get ugly when it comes time to plug a bunch of different things Shatner's doing (like the paperback of his autobiography, a Tek Wars compilation, and his talk show) when O'Brien shoots him the Vulcan salute and Shatner returns the favor with a flipped bird.
