No, don't worry, there is no Samuel L. Jackson cameos coming up in NBC's "Merlin," but it seems there will be plenty and plenty of snakes.
From the series' second episode "Valiant" comes a scene that shows the danger Prince Arthur (Bradley James), and because he's at his side Merlin (Colin Morgan) face when the king (Anthony Head) decides Camelot will host a tournament.
Valiant (Will Mellor) is a knight bringing magic into a kingdom that forbids it. Arthur is the champion of this tournament, and there is a bunch of gold at stake for the winner. Valiant, despite earning the honor of being a knight, decides he has to tip the playing field a little to his advantage ... a move that could create a permanent rift between Arthur and Merlin just when they were starting to get along.
"Merlin" premieres June 21 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. This episode, "Valiant" airs June 28.
