More and more videos are coming out for the BBC series "Merlin" that premieres on NBC June 21, including this new one that features some of the cast and crew of the series discussing why this show has become so magical.
There are a lot of genre connections with "Merlin," and it's not just that it stars Anthony Head from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" fame. The two creators, Julian Murphy and Johnny Caps, are probably best known for their fantasy series "Hex" that aired on Sky One.
Merlin has been a character that has popped up a lot in genre programs, especially the latter days of "Stargate SG-1" where he was a key figure in defeating the final enemy to plague that program on a regular basis.
But here, Merlin is nothing more than a young man. And the future King Arthur doesn't even like him. How will the two ever become the dynamo team that leads Camelot?
