"Iron Man 2," the sequel to last summer's blockbuster winner already has an impressive cast list to its name and more names are still being announced.

According to Empire, Kate Mara and Clark Gregg have both signed up for the Marvel sequel which already includes the talent bursting lineup of Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Mickey Rourke, Sam Rockwell, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Garry Shandling and John Slattery. Director Jon Favreau also will return to the sequel to reprise his role of Hogan.

Gregg, who was a part of the first "Iron Man," will once again play SHIELD Agent Phil Coulson, who was seen in the final moments of the movie along with Nick Fury (Jackson). Mara's role, however, still remains under wraps, which has led to speculation that her part could in fact be another notable comic book face.

The main comic book addition this time around will be Johansson who is taking on the guise of Black Widow, a Russian spy with super-sleuth technology. The character was originally introduced in the "Iron Man" feature "Tales of Suspense" as a Soviet agent before finally donning a costume and migrating to the pages of "Spider-man."

Familiar face Col. Rhodes will also be replaced following the much publicized departure of Terrence Howard. This time around, Rhodey will be played by Cheadle, and Rourke is rumoured to be taking on the role of Tony Stark's father.

"Iron Man 2" is currently in production and is expected to launch on May 7, 2010, a year after "Star Trek XI."
