'Millionaire' beats Trek stars
Ratings for the celebrity edition of the game show were OK
The ratings weren't spectacular for Anne Robinson and the assorted contestants from Star Trek, but the "Weakest Link" did give competing "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" on ABC a run for its money.
The show finished with a 7.8 rating/11 share, finishing fourth in its 8 p.m. time slot, and tying "Third Watch" as the second-most watched show on NBC Monday night. "Millionaire" earned an 8.7/12 as it led into "Monday Night Football" where the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 24-17 win over the NFL's best team -- the St. Louis Rams -- grabbed a 14.0/20 in prime time.
"Angel" was not aired this week, pre-empted for "The WB Presents: Teen People's Whats Next." That show earned only a 2.7/3, holding only 36 percent of the audience that tuned in to the earlier "7th Heaven."
NBC finished third for the night in the Nielsen Overnight Metered Market ratings with an 8.4/12. It was beat by CBS (14.3/2) and ABC (12.2/18). The network finished ahead of Fox (8.0/11), The WB (5.1/7) and UPN (3.4/5).
