Scenes From 'Caprica' Hit The Interwebs

See what the 'Battlestar Galactica' prequel spinoff has in store

While fans watch the series finale of "Battlestar Galactica" over and over again, SciFi Channel, soon to be Syfy, has released some new clips for "Caprica," the highly anticipated prequel spinoff to the Peabody award-winning show, including some scenes not even found in the trailers.

"Caprica" itself is set for a 2010 series release, but SciFi Channel is releasing the pilot episode direct to DVD beginning April 21. It stars Eric Stoltz as Daniel Graystone, the creator of the Cylons; Esai Morales of "Jericho" fame as Joseph Adama, father to William Adama; Paula Malcomson of "Deadwood" and Polly Walker.

The first clip is Stoltz's Graystone visiting a virtual world that his daughter seemed to frequent quite a bit with her friends.

Get a look at some of the technology Caprica has so long before its fall. By the time we see "Battlestar Galactica," technology has regressed out of fear of the Cylons. But before the Cylon uprising, humans embraced technology.

Apparently, Paula Malcomson is going to regret this slap for the rest of her life. And she will ... think "Dead Like Me."

The people of Caprica, and most likely the Colonies, are able to interact in a virtual reality that is a lot like the Internet, except you can actually be somewhere as an avatar, and experience things as if you were really there.

And just when you thought religious warfare -- especially between the monotheists and the polytheists -- was left behind on "Battlestar Galactica."

Technology does find a way to help people find closure. Talk about a personality download ...

And one more clip. I think you'll like this one.

No worries, you can get your DVD beginning April 21.
