Casting is underway for ABC's attempt to remake "V," and already has attracted some known names from science-fiction. But the latest casting move could have "Lost" fans worried about one of their favorite blonde characters.
Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello says Elizabeth Mitchell, who plays The Other's Juliet on "Lost," has just picked up a job for "V." This, coupled with an earlier report from Ausiello that a major character on "Lost" would die before the end of the season, has him worried that it will be Juliet who meets with her maker when it's all said and done.
But ABC and Warner Bros. say that Ausiello should breathe in the paper bag, because while Mitchell is on the show, she is only set as a guest star. For now.
"But, however much I may want to chill, that's pretty hard to do, since everyone told me the same thing when tailie Cynthia Watros booked a pilot (and two months later, Libby was pushing up daisies)," Ausiello said.
The casting news joins a number of others that have been announced in the past couple weeks. Already on board are Scott Wolf from "Everwood," Morris Chestnut, Morena Baccarin from "Firefly," Joel Gretsch from "The 4400," and David Richmond-Peck from "The Day the Earth Stood Still."
This television project apparently won't have much effect on Kenneth Johnson's project to bring "V" to the big screen.
The latest venture is being organized by "The 4400's" Scott Peters, and is expected to be considered for ABC's fall season. It's shooting in Vancouver, British Columbia.
