No need to wonder whether "Smallville" will be back for a ninth season. Or if "Supernatural" will have yet another outing.

The CW has renewed six shows Tuesday, including both "Smallville" and "Supernatural," showing the world that despite its sagging ratings, it's here to stay ... at least for now.
