SyFy Radio returns with its final four episodes with Michael Hinman as its host with a special night celebrating the 1979-81 NBC series "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century."

Hinman will be joined by the two stars of that show, Gil Gerard and Erin Gray, during Wednesday's two-hour broadcast which begins at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT at www.SyFyRadio.com.

They will begin a slate jam-packed shows going straight to the end of January when Hinman hands the reins of SyFy Radio over two new hosts Wayne Hall and Nick Chase. That includes the married voice acting team of Yuri Lowenthal and Tara Platt Jan. 14, "Star Trek: The Next Generation" actress Marina Sirtis on Jan. 21, and a special good-bye to Michael Hinman special Jan. 28.

Many of these guests will attend Phoenix Comicon, which takes place Jan. 23-25 at the Mesa Convention Center in Arizona.

Gerard played Buck Rogers in the series during its two-season run, and also appeared in shows such as "Little House on the Prairie" and "Sidekicks." He also was featured in a recent Discovery Channel program "Action Hero Makeover" which documented Gerard's mini-gastric bypass surgery, an operation he says saved his life.

Gray played Col. Wilma Deering in the show, but also may be remembered by many fans as Kate in the 1980s series "Silver Spoons." Col. Deering was an early strong female presence in television, due in no small part to the significant influence Gerard had with the network as well as Gray's own work to make sure her character was not minimized.

Gray now runs Heroes for Hire, a celebrity representation service that helps bring some of science-fiction's greatest stars of the past and present to conventions nationwide.

SyFy Radio begins Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT at www.SyFyRadio.com, but also is available in archived form beginning Thursday morning on the site, or through the iTunes Store by doing a search for "SyFy."

Hinman announced in November he was leaving the show to host a new, yet unannounced weekly program on BlogTalkRadio that will take a broader view on television. That show is expected to launch in February or March.

Beginning in February, SyFy Radio will become a monthly show with Wayne Hall and Nick Chase as hosts. While still discussing the latest news found on Airlock Alpha, the show will take a more classic science-fiction approach than it did under Hinman, and has the option of expanding into a more frequent show by summer.
