Imagine Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees and Michael Myers all competing in "Big Brother;" that could be the next step as The CW is taking reality television to the terrifying extreme as an unlucky 13 people will be placed in their very own personal horror movie in "13 - Fear Is Real" ? and there is a fitting $66,666 for the one who survives.

Part horror experience and part game show, all of the contestants will go up against not just each other, but a number of scream-worthy surprises and "beware of the dark" moments designed by a "mastermind" of the genre. There will even be a few familiar situations lifted straight out of some of the worlds most notorious and celebrated horror movies.

Some of the contestants will also have their personal horror experience designed exclusively for them based on their own natural fears. Most of the victims all share common fears (like a number of creepy crawlies) however some have more unusual phobias such as clowns and goldfish. There are even some, Nasser and Rodney, who claim to be completely fearless.

With the aim of stirring it up a little, the "mastermind" will also help the victims and encourage their competitive and paranoid natures to the point where they will be unable to proceed without looking over their shoulders. One victim will be "killed off" each week until there is only a single survivor to claim the prize.

Producing "13 ? Fear Is Real" is Jay Bienstock ("Survivor," "The Apprentice"), Sam Raimi ("The Evil Dead") & Robert Tapert ("The Grudge").

"13 ? Fear Is Real" launches Jan. 7 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
