'Eleventh Hour' Continues To Dominate 'Life On Mars'
After beating it in their premiere weeks, "Life On Mars" can't seem to catch up to "Eleventh Hour" on CBS.
The ABC cop-out-of-time drama earned a 5.4 rating/9 share, according to Fast National ratings from Nielsen Media Research. That was down 3.6 percent from its series low last week, and lost 43 percent of its "Grey's Anatomy" lead-in.
"Eleventh Hour," on the other hand, tied Game 2 of the World Series with a 7.7/13, down just 1 percent from the previous week, and losing just 32.5 percent of its audience from night-leading "CSI."
"ER" once again finished ahead of "Life On Mars," scoring a 5.7/9, Zap2it reports.
"Smallville" finished just under 4 percent from its season high so far with a 2.6/4, while "Supernatural" lost 23 percent of its lead-in audience to earn a 2.0/3.
Thursday night was won by CBS rather easily with a 9.1/14, while ABC was behind Fox with a 6.9/11.
But adults 18 to 49 ended up being a tie for second between ABC and Fox, with each picking up a 3.5, behind the 4.3 from CBS.
For the week, "Eleventh Hour" was the top-rated network genre show followed by the 5.7/9 from Fox's "Fringe." "Life On Mars" was third, ahead of the 5.1/7 from "Heroes" on NBC. "Knight Rider" was fifth with a 4.4/7 while both ABC's "Pushing Daisies" and NBC's "Chuck" tied for sixth with a 4.0/6.
"Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" finished ahead of The CW programming with a 3.1/5, good enough for an eighth slot.
Fast Nationals usually provide a snapshot of what Americans are watching by pulling numbers from the top urban markets that includes both live viewing and same-day timeshifted viewing. A rating point generally represents more than 1.1 million households while the share indicates the percentage of televisions turned on that was tuned to the specific program. These numbers typically shift when final ratings are issued.
