It looks like "Fringe" is earning quite a name for itself ... even without airing a single episode.

The Hollywood Reporter has recently named the J.J. Abrams series the top choice of its predicted list of success for the new television season. And it's not alone. The science-based series is joined by "The Eleventh Hour," a prodecural drama from Jerry Bruckheimer.

But don't expect either show to hold a ratings win for its timeslot, as according to the Horizon Media report, no new television show will be able to control the 18 to 49 age demographic that advertisers typically covet. Instead, existing favorites such as "Heroes" and "The Ghost Whisperer" will maintain their supremacy.

ABC's adaptation of the popular BBC series "Life On Mars" is also expected to do well and has been fingered as the number three new show of the fall lineup.

Similar predictions were made last season with "Bionic Woman" labeled as the must-see series. Following a ratings dive though of more than 50 percent from its original premiere audience, the series was axed without any solid conclusion or story tie-up.

The Fox series "Fringe" is scheduled to make a two-hour debut on Sept. 9, with CBS's "Eleventh Hour" following a month later on Oct. 9.
