An evening of "Lost" on ABC helped the network win the ratings battle on Thursday, May 29, even though the show's finale numbers were down from last year, according to Zap2it.com.

The Alphabet Network averaged a 6.4 rating/11 share, coming in ahead of Fox, who attracted a 5.9/10 viewership. CBS came in third, followed by NBC and The CW. ABC also placed first among adults 18-49, the most critical demographic.

The night kicked off with a repeat of "There's No Place Like Home: Part 1" from two weeks ago, which took second place with a 4.5/8 and landed behind Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance" with a 5.8/10.

"Lost" took first place at 9 with "Part 2," which garnered a 7.1/12. "Dance" moved up to a 6.0/10, just beating out a "CSi" rerun on CBS.

At 10 p.m., the "Lost" season finale attracted an audience of 12.2 million, taking the time slot but down from last year's numbers, which were 13.8 million viewers even though it aired against the "American Idol" finale.

Fans will have to wait a significant amount of time for new episodes to air since ABC will bring "Lost" back as a mid-season replacement.
