Olmos Says Final Cylon Has Been Revealed
This story contains possible MINOR SPOILERS for the end of "Battlestar Galactica."
The identities of all 12 Cylons are now known ... well, at least to the cast and crew who are wrapping up filming of "Battlestar Galactica."
Edward James Olmos, who plays Adm. William Adama in the series, told British magazine SciFiNow that audiences will be shocked with the way the series ends when it hits television screens next year.
"It's not a happy ending," Olmos said. "We end up with almost nothing."
While it doesn't look like a great fate for the characters, the show itself will probably end up with quite a bit. The show, which already is critically acclaimed, could be a program that may still be talked about for years.
"Twenty years from now, people will see this as excellent post-9/11 television," Olmos said. "It'll be marketed in a way that demonstrates sociological change for the time."
Olmos, along with other cast members, now know the identity of the final Cylon. But you won't get it from him. In fact, actor Aaron Douglas, who plays the Cylon Tyrol in the series, told the magazine that many of the guesses and such that have plagued the Internet "don't even come close."
More of the interview will be available in SciFiNow, available on newsstands across Great Britain July 10.
