Harry Potter Movie Actor Killed
In what is being described as the 14th such incident to happen in London -- this year -- another young man was killed in a violent attack, and this time it's someone moviegoers may recognize.
Rob Knox, 18, was stabbed to death over the weekend after getting caught in a fight outside of a London bar. He reportedly was trying to defend his 16-year-old brother, and was stabbed. He was among five people who were taken to hospitals with injuries, but the only one who died.
Knox plays Marcus Belby in the upcoming "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," a Ravenclaw student, that is described as a minor role.
This was Knox's first film role, according to Internet Movie Database.
According to Harry Potter Wiki, Belby is a "first-year student" who is both "thin" and "nervous looking." His uncle invented the Wolfsbane Potion that won him the Order of Merlin in the book.
Officials with Warner Bros. said they were "shocked" by the news.
A 21-year-old has been arrested in connection with the murder, but London police have not released his name. They do say they don't think the murder was gang-related.
"Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince" premieres in November.
