Do you believe that one of director Cecil B. DeMille's last acts was to have the entire ancient Egyptian set used in the 1923 version of "The Ten Commandments" buried in the California desert after it was shot?
Apparently, nearly 30 years before he would remake the silent film into one of the classic religious films of all time, DeMille did just that, allowing the sets to sit in a dark grave that would eventually be unearthed by wind and time.
The desert also is a popular archaeologist site that attracts a soon-to-be-divorced couple played by Adam Baldwin and Morena Baccarin of "Firefly" fame. They soon learn why DeMille chose to bury the set, as there was a horror that cannot be stopped.
"Sands of Oblivion" was originally broadcast on the SciFi Channel last summer, but now the cable channel has released a director's cut of the film for DVD that includes never-before-seen footage. It's available now in DVD stores everywhere, but you can win one of 10 copies (yes, we said 10 copies) of the DVD that are being given away by SciFi Channel and Airlock Alpha.

The movie also stars Dan Castellaneta (best known as the voice of Homer Simpson), soap actor John Aniston and Oscar winner George Kennedy.
The DVD release also features interviews with the cast and other deleted scenes that didn't make the director's cut.
