'Justice League' Is Back, New And Mortal
The recent writer?s strike sidelined the "Justice League" movie, but the strike is now over. According to Variety, Warner Bros. has now decided to push for a summer 2009 release.
Writers Kieran and Michele Mulroney are working on the script, meanwhile the cast has been asked to keep training for their upcoming superhero roles. Weta Workshop is designing and making the iconic superhero costumes.
Currently, director George Miller is in preproduction in Australia. It is unclear whether the movie will be filmed in Australia or Canada. The plan was to film in Canada, but the production is having problems getting the Australia government to okay the 40 percent rebate on such a high budget project.

The rest of the superhero team roster consist of the rapper Common as John Stewart the Green Lantern, Armie Hammer Jr. as Batman and Australian supermodel Megan Gale as Wonder Woman.
According to AICN, Hugh Keays-Byrne is rumored to play Martian Manhunter. You may remember Hugh as Toecutter in "Mad Max." They also report that the film?s title is rumored to now be "Justice League: Mortal."
