Some may call it the Golden Age of science-fiction. But for Ray Harryhausen, it was just genius.

Three new Harryhausen titles are now available on DVD including "Earth vs. the Flying Saucers," "It Came From Beneath the Sea," and the Blu-ray version of "20 Million Miles To Earth: 50th Anniversary Edition." "Earth vs. the Flying Saucers," first released in 1956, is available in widescreen and features a space project called Operation Skyhook headed by Dr. Russell Marvin that involves sending rockets into the upper atmosphere to probe for future space flights. For some reason, the rockets keep disappearing and while they try to investigate, Dr. Marvin and his wife Carol are abducted by a flying saucer. The aliens kept demanding the Marvins help them find certain people that they can negotiate with, but in the end, it was nothing more than a ruse to kill them and begin an all-out invasion. The Marvins have to use everything in their power to stop the threat from happening ... if only they had Jeff Goldblum and his laptop that is somehow compatible with alien threats.

"It Came From Beneath the Sea," first released in 1955, was the first collaboration between special effects wizard Ray Harryhausen and producer Charles H. Schneer. This newly colorized film depicting a giant octopus attacking San Francisco features stars such as Kenneth Tobey, Faith Domergue, Donald Curtis and Ian Keith.

"20 Million Miles to Earth: The 50th Anniversary Edition," was first released in 1957 and is now available on Blu-ray for the first time in color (eat your heart out Ted Turner). When an American spaceship crash lands off the coast of Sicily, a rescue team discovers that the crew has brought back a gelatinous mass hat soon hatches and evolves into a strange bi-ped creature which increases in size rapidly. Soon standing as tall as 20 feet, the creature rampages Rome before being destroyed as it seeks refuge in the Colosseum.
