'Deathly Hallows' Could Be Two Films

Although this is resurrecting a similar rumor made about a previous Harry Potter adaptation, there is talks once again that one of J.K. Rowling's books will be split to make a second movie from the bestselling "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows."

The Daily Mail is reporting that Warner Bros. is once again considering adding more material from the massive books into the big screen production, giving what they feel is the final chapter of Harry Potter justice. The word apparently has come from the pre-production of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," the penultimate story in the Harry Potter saga, where scriptwriters are struggling to get all of the pertinent details into a single film.

At the same time, however, those same studio sources are defending themselves on whether or not this is just an attempt by Warner Bros. to bleed the turnip for just one more blockbuster in the Harry Potter series, saying that it would be important to split the final film because it would respect the artistic vision of Rowling's work.

"There's so much to fit that the view is the last movie should be two halves," the source told the publication. "There is a huge battle when Harry, played by Daniel Radcliffe, takes on Voldemort that needs to be done really well."

Reports had surfaced before the filming of "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" that that film could be split, but nothing ever came of it. Since this report is not being confirmed officially, it should be treated as any rumor would.

The first five Harry Potter films have grossed nearly $5 billion at the box office. "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince" is expected to be released Nov. 21.
