Who Should Be Nominated?

Airlock Alpha accepting your Genre Awards nominees!

It is now just a little less than two months away before Airlock Alpha begins its fifth Airlock Alpha Genre Awards!

The fan-voted favorites of television and movies will begin April 25, and continue through May 25, with winners to be announced in June. Site visitors will be allowed to vote once per day for 30 days in 13 categories, which include Best Actor/Actress for television and movies, Best Episode, Best Young Actor, and even the Gene Roddenberry Lifetime Achievement Award.

The nominating committee for the Genre Awards has been formed, but like every year, they are looking for suggestions from YOU. Here is YOUR chance to get some of your favorites in from the past year.

What do you need to do? It's simple!

Look at the 13 categories of the Airlock Alpha Genre Awards. Compile a list of what YOU think should be nominated this year. Send that list to SyFyGenreAwds@aol.com and your eligible choices will be shared with our nominating committee!

So, what are the guidelines?

First of all, you can ONLY nominate television programs and movies which made their ORIGINAL premiere in the United States between March 1, 2003 and Feb. 29, 2004. Only the final episodes of "Farscape" and "Buffy: The Vampire Slayer" are eligible.

The 13 categories to choose from are: Best Actor/Television, Best Actress/Television, Best Supporting Actor/Television, Best Supporting Actress/Television, Best Actor/Movie, Best Actress/Movie, Best Young Actor (22 or younger, television or movies), Best Special Guest/Television, Best Episode/Television, Best Theme Song/Television, Best Series/Television, Best Movie, and the Gene Roddenberry Lifetime Achievement Award.

Any property that is considered science-fiction, fantasy or horror is eligible, and it doesn't matter if the show or movie is or was covered by Airlock Alpha.

The most important rule to remember, however, is that you cannot spam the e-mail address above. All you will end up doing is getting your IP blocked, and your particular picks will not be forwarded.

Airlock Alpha will announce its expanded nominee list April 1, with the final list being released April 15.

Voting will begin April 25, and continue through May 25.
